| Currently in the production stage, this one-hour documentary is about the life story of basketball's first Triple Crown winning coach.
Produced and directed by 2008 Beacon award winner Doug Harris, Basketball Guru will give viewers an in-depth look at the impact that legendary Coach Pete Newell has had on the game as the winner of college basketball's N.I.T. (1949 USF), the NCAA (1959 Cal), and the 1960 Olympics. Still in the production phase, AUP Media is seeking financial support to complete the documentary in time to commemorate the 93 year old coach's double anniversary (2009) of winning his two national college basketball championships. |
